Well the big birthday weekend....I have built this thing up in my mind..and then when it's over, it's really over.

I had signed on to check my email on saturday morning, and my dearest, bestest friend from Australia, Brendan, had sent me an ecard that he created himself. It was the best. Love you babe!

So I had chatted with Chris friday night and his plan was to get on the road at 3 and be here by 6 to go to dinner. Remember that thought. I had planned on getting up and starting my errands about 7:30, but the beasties had a better idea....Let's wake mom up at 6 by puking on her floor. Nice, thanks babes...I really appreciate it. I do get out and get everything done before I wanted to go get my hair cut. My friend has recommended a woman at the Regis Salon in the mall, but she wasn't working in the morning, and I couldn't come back, so I had Meagan cut my hair. If I ever mention needing a hair cut, remind me not to go back. Meagan was nice, but she cut the hair just a bit too short....I know, it's hair it will grow back. It doesn't look bad...just not what I was hoping for. After that, I do my stuff in the mall, and decide to stop by the parents. As you know, my brother lives on the road I take to get mom and dads, so I make a pit stop there. They invite me out to lunch, and we go get pizza..yummy. By this time, I've called Chris to see what he's doing and he doesn't answer his phone. Not liking that. I had visions of him sleeping in till 1 and not being able to make it. Hit the parents after that for a few, come home give myself a pedicure and manicure, and get a shower in there also. Finally Chris calls back, he's on his way, and he will call me when he's about half an hour away so I can go get a table at Bennigans. He gets there, we have a totally great dinner, I had steak, he had the southwest platter....it was all good. We had some time to kill before we had to be at the bar, so we hit Marshalls and he buys me the totally cool crystal vase that I've been mooning over. He loves me.
After that, we still had some time to kill so we stopped at his parents house. Now it's time to get going to the bar. My excitement is building..looking forward to just hanging with my friends. We got there and no one was there. Which was okay, we got the tables saved for when everyone did get there. Sue showed up about 15 minutes after we got there, and she got me a Celtic music CD. Awesome. Mark shows up about 35 minutes after Sue. He just bought me a couple of drinks. Annie showed up a good half an hour after Mark, and she got me Cha Cha the red eyed tree frog from The Rainforest Cafe. Not a real one, a stuffed one. And that was it. Out of 12 invites...only three people showed up. That hurt a bit. And frankly, if Annie wouldn't have shown up, Mark wouldn't have, because it was pretty obvious that he has the hots for her. So, Chris, Sue and I left about 12.30, dropped Sue off at her house and we came back to my place and hung out and bull-shitted and watched some tv. So that was the big party. Whopiee. Tracy had even called me to let me know that she would be there, and she never showed. I was really hurt by that one, but I talked to her when we got home, and she and her girlfriend had broken up on Thursday, and Tracy is devestated. Okay, that sucks, and I understand that, but if she was just blowing me off...I would have been really pissed.

Today, I got to sleep in until 10:30, and went to mom and dads about 12:30. I had seen a really cute purse while I was at Target saturday, so mom and I went back to look at it. The purse I was using, the handle started to rip, so I fixed it with Duct tape, and as I was getting out of the car, the handle finally broke. It was way too funny!!!! Mom has this little piece of Astroturf with a rubber tee on it, and we practice whacking wiffle balls on it with out golf clubs. So we did that this afternoon. I had a really nice shot with my 3 wood but the damn ash tree got in the way...

We had grilled hamburgers and corn on the cob from the grill and macaroni salad and lemon roll cake for dessert! All yummy good food. Baby Girl got me frog salt and pepper shakers to go with my frog teapot and she got me a key chain that was a frog and it said "best" and she kept the one that said "friends"!! The parents got me a Weed Whacker....there's a lot of whacking going on around here!!! And the brother got me the extension cord to go with it. All in all, it was a good day.

Now it is getting late, and I have to work in the morning...big surprise....and Alani is bugging the shit out of me right now.
