It appears...
That the tile shop is the talk of the Tri-Cities. NO ONE thought we had a snowball's chance in hell at getting the job, and when we did....HA!!
It was rather humorous today. On my way out the door, Henry, out Dal-Tile rep called to talk to Jill about the job. Originally all the tile speced for the job, was Dal-Tile. We had called several times to get the pricing for the material, and they weren't very helpful in the process. So Jill presented a substitute tile from American Olean, that we could get faster, and it was cheaper.
Jim, out rep from American Olean was in today, and made the comment, that since we've been awarded the job, Dal-Tile would be calling us to work out the pricing and crap for the job. As I was walking out the door, I heard Jill tell Henry that she substituted AO tile, and that is what was the foundation went with.
I'm sure there was dead silence on the other end, as Henry realized an 11,300+ square foot tile job just got flushed down the toilet because they blew us off.
In other news...I'm working an extra day next week, and we are just going to play the upcoming weeks by ear.
It' totally sucks when you have nothing in the house to eat for lunch, and you are so broke you can't even go to McDonalds for a double cheeseburger....
I think it's going to be a long weekend!!
